About Geekflex
What does “geekflex” mean? I’m glad you asked. I came up with this little definition while trying to explain to someone why computers seem to magically “just work” whenever there’s a geek around. It’s not about superhuman skills or otherworldly powers. It’s just about information. Only we never really know where the information comes from.
Geeks are sponges for information. They/we absorb information into any number of pores from any direction. Information assimilates itself into the very fibres of our existences. Many of the pearls of wisdom that find their way into the geek’s sticky honey-like absorbant centre later display themselves in subconscious recollections of randomly accessed data. These manifestations of knowledge apply themselves to making technological (and — depending on the kind of geek — artistic or mechanical) devices work like “magic”. It’s automatic. A geek reflex. Geekflex.

About Me
My nickname is Skrud and I’m on a mission to make growing up suck less. I’m 25 years old and a recent graduate from Concordia University with a BEng. in Software Engineering. Throughout my university career I was heavily involved in student associations, trying to make university awesome for everyone. Now it’s time to focus that energy on making life after university awesome.
I think this might be the hardest undertaking of my life thus far.
Good.
I like being challenged.
The t-shirts you see arrayed in the header are, in fact, all relics from my student life. Each of them reminds me of some specific incredible event. Instead of dwelling on them, I want to thrive on the memories and do the same things for my professional life that I did for my student life: build it up and love every minute of it.
